Second, remember that several updates/changes were made to the NAQP Rules
effective with the 2000 contests. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the maximum
transmitter power level has been reduced to 100 Watts and no external
amplifiers capable of more than 100 Watts output are allowed to be used in
this contest. This change was made in response to repeated requests to
lower the power level to a level that the majority of transcievers are
capable of producing. Not everyone can turn their power up to 150 Watts
but virtually everyone can turn their power down to 100 Watts so we went
ahead and made the change. Please remember to throttle back those 1000D's,
950's, etc! Maximum output power used should be stated on your summary
sheets.

How can this be when all of the magazines say just the opposite--even the new
NCJ!
Surely not all of the participants will be reading this reflector!!! Good
idea. However, it probably should have started next contest.
