Something already exists that does the same thing- it's called CQWW.
WRTC exists separate from that event. The IARU contest seems to fit the
bill as a non-major contest but still gets a lot of activity and promotes
people to get headquarter stations on the air.

Well said, Bill, and I suggest it be 48 hours long. (That might be too
much of an imposition on the hosts and referees, though. Maybe a single
