I'm still sorting through my impressions of the CW SS, but one strong one
was that the level of operating seemed to be up perceptibly from last year.
In particular, I felt that most of the QRP ops seemed to appreciate how
much good operating could enhance their results -- smoother CW, efficient
transmission of the exchange, correct fill technique, etc.
There were still a few people (at all power levels) with very poor
hand-sent CW. Especially with them, I found it more efficient, rather than
asking "NR?" to ask, for example, "NR 267?" or "CK 56?" This worked
especially well too with the weak QRP'ers.
For whatever it's worth.
