[CQ-Contest] Preamp advice

We need a preamp for 160. Any recommendations for something to buy or build?

Hi all,

After CQ WW SSB I was thinking to write something about this topic and here
is my point of view.

There are too many categories. If we check results in SO (Single Op.) Vs.
SOA (Single Op. Assisted)
category we can see that almost in any case SO made better result! What
could be the reason for that???

Are DxCluster, Repeater Network, Internet accessories that disturbs the
Contester and than he is losing QSOs or many of  TOP
operators for example in EU, anywhere using(monitoring) it but claiming
SO -> cheating???

I do agree that location(PFX)helps to DX getting more QSOs, MULTs but I can
tell you when I was operating
SOA and chasing for DX stations which I saw on DxCluster found many of you
guys on the same QRG as I was.
But you guys were SO so without Cluster! Are you having those Sixth Sense to
find DX or you think that it is not possible
to notice who is and who is not using it?! BTW I am not against it but I am
for that that  contest committee consider
about doing something about it.

When I spoke several years ago with Bob Cox, K3EST he mentioned that this
wouldn't be fair for stations from Africa, Pacific, etc. because
they are not able to have Packet Network, DXCluster, etc. Maybe ten years
ago it was so but these days in every tiny island whoever
want to get spots it could get them via Packet Network, Internet, Cell
Phones, Pagers, etc. Than I'll get the answer from you:" if you wish
to use it just use it and assign SOA". But why to have TWO categories when
many those SO guys are using it TOO???? Make it ONLY SO
and who is better will win! Not who is better CHEATER will win! So make
rules more flexible that there would  be no need to cheat making
good result...so there will be main point of view to be inventive and good
to make it good!
