looking for VT". Some random person comes on freq and tells me unprovoked
that there is a VT station calling CQ up 10 from me. Do I ignore his "assi
stance", use it and remain in the unassisted category, or change categories
to assisted?
Come on up and work me regardless of what you decide ;) Seriously though I
have run into this situation before. When I am calling on a freq I will also
be working my way up the band S&P on the other VFO (albeit slowly). I honestly
have "ignored" the comment, but found the station on my own during my sweep.
The change it makes for me is that it reminds me of the importance of working
that B VFO (or second radio for those so equipped) and quickens my pace.
