I tried it, but found it quite confusing, and gave up.

I ended up bridging the two audios with a resistor, so radio 1
is loud in the left ear, and not so loud in the right ear.
Likewise radio 2 is loud in the right ear, and not so loud in the
left ear. That works fb for me.
