Hi !
WRTC-2000 is history now; HI ... but we didn't forget our promises about
WRTC awards, T-shirts, plaques, diplomas etc...584 logs have been received
all together.
TNX to Larry, N6TW for the job very well done for all the computer
cross-checking. All the logs received have been checked very similar as CQ
WW.
The final results are listed on our home page http://wrtc2000.bit.si/ or

PSE give us sime time for preparing and sending all those awards.

N6AA responds to VE3BMV
"The penalty is designed to hurt. It is supposed to hurt so much
that you can't stand it any more, and actually ask for a repeat
of the station's callsign, enough times so that you actually get it
right before you log it."
Well, Dick... you guys at CQWW committee took away an entrants points....is
that PC.......its not fair...after all ya' know we always just accidentally
used to leave those dupes in before because it was such an inefficient
process hand logging and duping and all ya know...we couldn't read our own
handwriting sometimes, too...honest...we weren't TRYING to cheat, it was an
accident...
Are you trying to stigmatize the participants by everyone learning of others
potentially high UBN numbers? Scarlet letters next to their calls in the
write-ups in the contesting magazines...oooooh.
Sounds to me like the people on the CQWW committee are stuck in the past
with olde notions of fair competition and the right guy winning...maybe you
all should go back to Political Correctness school....get with the times,
jeezus - don't ya know how to correctly scale for victory anymore?
It just isn't fair................sob, boo hoo........
I APPLAUD WORK THAT SEEKS TO RAISE THE BAR AND MAKE THE WINNERS OF A
COMPETITION MORE WORTHY OF PRAISE - ANYTHING THAT CAUSES THE OPERATOR'S
LEVEL OF ATTENTION TO BE ELEVATED IS NOT BAD! And just cause someone made
a lot of QSOs didn't used to mean he made a lot of contacts!
I love REAL uniques...but I despise uniques for the sake of being unique!
As long as all are equally measured, by the same standard...and if it
happens to be a tough one - well gosh...maybe we should tip our hats a
little further.
