I4JMY SAID:
Would you invite in a competitive multi op done in a real contest a guy=20
who never contested on real but won "the great operator" with a PC, or=20
100W and a tribander, may be from VK ?

Oh my God, this is your spirit of amateur radio????

Did you ever read the CQ Contest magazine??? Tey promote young people to =
call contest stations to ask for aplace on their teams. There=B4s a CQ =
Contest Station Registry, and it really works.

All the radio books and magazine=B4s editors promote the new hams to get =
involved in contests, but at your point, how all this new hams will =
improve they technics and skills???

Is a good luck that there=B4s a real multi multi stations like K3LR, =
KC1XX, K1TTT, W3LPL, N2RM and others.

John says to me some years ago: The plaques are only a piece of wood, =
the better thing you get from a contest is the friendship and the nice =
weekend you have with the team. That=B4s right!!

So, for you to be a real contester you must have a lot in HC8, P3 or CN =
and also you need to have:

        2 x FT1000MP $ 6.000
        alpha 87A $ 6.500
        Multi monobands antennas $ 2.000-3.000
        Automatic station/ant. switch $1.000

That=B4s fine, but you also need to have a a guy who never contested on =
real but=20
won "the great operator" with a PC, or 100W and a tribander, may be from =
VK and all other countries around the world.

I think this is Professional Radio and not AMATEUR RADIO!!, that is the =
aim of our HOBBY

73,

    Jorge
