Correction: we have yet to have an exchange of emails to discuss our
mutual loss of an important mult. I wrote to you as soon as I got my UBNs,
but I have yet to hear from you until your post to cq-contest, OB.
I distinctly remember you calling me during my run. I distinctly remember
how chuffed I was that you had called me as I wasted so much bloody time
calling another VP5 earlier without any luck. The Caribbean is tough from here
& frequently I only manage to work a few stations at the very end of the
contest
as I just cannot get through all the JAs, Ws & EUs.
So I was less than pleased to find our Q being thrown out & now I am even
more unhappy to learn that you are as bewildered about it as I am.
We need to jointly address this with the CQ WW guys. Please contact me
directly.
For the benefit of everybody else, this is an example of where log checking can
go wrong & if not pursued, we all loose out. I have found challenging
stuff like
this to be well received by the log checking folks as they are as keen on their
accuracy as their efforts have made me keen on mine. Problem is that to
pursue this, you need some basis to do so & for this particular contact, I have
had nothing until now.
