[CQ-Contest] networking and winipcfg questions

Excuse the off topic post but it appears as though some fairly knowledgable
pc gurus are on this list....

I have a small home network, 3 pcs all running win95 running to a small hub
then to my adsl router which provides dhcp and nat. 2 of the 3 pcs all run
fine but the one in my shack runs sloooower than slow, unusable actually. I
just noticed that when I run winipcfg the adapter listed is a novell 2000,
yet the correct adapter is a linksys pci ethernet card which is correctly
identified in device manager. I think this may be the cause of my trouble as
I have eliminated everything else ( tried different cables, moved the pc to
the bedroom where that pc works fine). How can I get the correct adapter in
winipcfg? Is it a setting in netowrk neighborhood?
