[CQ-Contest] Bob Denniston W0DX / VP2VI

This is not really contest related but I found it interesting.  I was
looking through the September / October issue of Island Magazine and a
featured story was the British Virgin Islands.  I was surprised when I saw a
picture of Bob Denniston W0DX / VP2VI  and a short story about him in the
article.  Bob owns a hotel on  Smugglers Cove Beach on the Island of
Tortola.  I  rented a house in 1987 near this hotel and operated portable
VP2V. I remember seeing him and his antennas at the hotel.  He called me on
CW several times during my operation, but we never formally met.   I
returned to Tortola in 1996 and 1997 and the hotel and antennas were gone.
The only thing left was the bar, which was now an honor bar.  This was left
unattended and you simply put your money in a box,  grabbed a beverage, or
rented snorkeling equipment, etc..  There was also an old Lincoln that Queen
Elizabeth rode in during a visit on display.    I never saw Bob on either of
these latter trips but I know he lives somewhere on the Island.
