[CQ-Contest] 160m DX window dead?

I wrote:

        "In the most recent CQ 160 CW Contest, probably 99% of the DX 
stations I worked were NOT in the 1830-1835 window recommended by CQ."

        Just for curiosity, I decided to check my statement...here are
my DX (non-W/VE) QSO breakdowns by continent:

                    Total    In window    %
North America   CW    9           2      22
South America   CW    6           1      17
Europe          CW  196          11       5.6
Asia            CW    6           1      16.7
Africa          CW    2           0       0
Oceania         CW    6           3      50

Total               225          18       8

        Well my guess was wrong but I believe my point still holds!  160m DX is 
where you find it and most was NOT in the 1830-1835 window.  And by the way, the
two North American DX stations in the window should NOT have been working North
America according to the window rules (window for Inter-continental QSO's
only)...
and I'm sure  ;-)  the EU stations in the window were not answering other EU's!
