Glad that W1CW is fighting and surviving.
I was in similar situation, all clogged up, my heart actually stopped, had
enough consciousness to hit myself in the chest and restart it.
Then friend told me about Dr. Atkins and his diet, I went to see his talk,
next day went on it. In addition I did oral chellation therapy with heavy
dose of antioxidants. In 6 weeks I lost 30 lbs, in 2 months my blood pressure
returned to normal 120/80 without medication, my arteries cleared up and
instead of worrying how to dispose of my equipment, I am back into contesting
and arming up for next generation station setup and looking forward to
rearrange some records.
I am not a doctor, I do not play one on TV, (they almost put me in the grave)
but I found way of clearing the clogged arteries (cause of high blood
pressure) and fired my doctor who was feeding me pills, kept me 10 years on
vegetarian diet (killing me with carbohydrates) and didn't help any. All I
can do is say what worked on me (and other famous hams like W0UN, VE1ZZ,
KR2Q), and for those who are fat, have high blood pressure, diabetes and
other related -ets, it is worth looking into it and adding few precious years
to your contesting life.
Good luck and speedy recovery to number 1 CW man!

Yuri, K3BU
