[CQ-Contest] CW Sprint Rant

I was somewhat disappointed last night by violations of two basic Sprint
behavior patterns --

Participants in a QSO waiting for (or providing) some form of confirmation
before going QSY.

Stations waiting for such confirmation before calling the station that now
has the frequency.

Many, many times last night I had to wait for the initial frenzy of calling
to cease before I could hear whether the station I'd just worked needed any
fills. A number of times I lost a QSO because I waited to hear "TU" before
dumping my call in, but others didn't.

The problem seemed to be worse than in prior years, and wasn't limited to
newbies, or even upper-middle-pack-inhabitants like me. One big station
nearby gave me no acknowledgement on 2 out of 3 QSOs.

It also seemed like I'd get stepped on a lot more -- be in mid-QSO and have
someone land on me with a CQ. I'm inclined to blame this on badly-done SO2R.
