For less than the price of an auto-tuning amplifier, you can buy two
manually-tuned ones. Then with just a single additional relay, you can
instantly switch between two bands, even with a single radio. (You have to
have
automatic antenna switching, of course.)
One downside, however, is the added acoustic noise. Look for quiet fans.
