Let me ask a somewhat paradigm-shattering question:

Why do you need a second amplifier for the second radio?

Granted, a SO2R setup may be more optimal with a bit more power on the
second radio. But if you are using the second radio primarily to bag
stations calling CQ, while you are calling CQ on another band, do you
really need the amp?

You can work a lot of Qs with just an exciter. It may be hard to hold a
frequency without an amp, but it's not so hard to work other stations
calling CQ.

Think about it a second. Is it a good idea to have your amp jumping back
and forth between bands in a contest situation, where it is constantly
tuning and re-tuning, and potentially risk a failure of your ONE AND ONLY
amp?

Just a thought.

(Me? I don't own an amp....)
