A couple more non-original ideas that I have used over the years.
1. The little plastic tabs with the split from the bread wrappers make easy
tags to use on small control and audio cables. Just label them with marker
pen.
2. I buy a package of assorted colors of electrical tape. Then by using
different bands of colors I identify various RF cables as to antenna, etc. You
have to remember to make a chart though.
