How simple could it be?

IARU (W1AW/6) was a big kick thanks to the guys who made it work. 
That's N6RO and W6OAT, plus others. 

If you want to make a MMM or whatever, you are free to do what 
you want to do. Just don't enter a category in which you are 
illegal. Send your logs to the committee, they will use your input 
for checking purposes and hopefully will be influenced by your effort.
