Have you been to the Florida QSO Party web page recently?

It is at:

http://www.qsl.net/fqp

On the opening page you will see a map of Florida with the 67 counties.
Counties which are colored Green have not had someone step forward to say "I
will make sure this county gets on the air for FQP 2,001"....counties
colored Orange have been acknowledged as being QRV for this years FQP.
Floridians who will be active are encouraged to click the "counties on the
air" tab and register with KD4RWN as to their plans.

Of the 67 counties, only 8 have NOT been spoken for so far, and two of the
mobile teams have not checked in yet. It is a safe bet that once again
there WILL be a chance for entrants in FQP '01 to make it a Sunshine State
Sweepstakes!

The FQP is a month away on April 28 and 29th...we hope you will join in the
fun especially the mobiles who need you to keep them busy as they traverse
Florida! Special thanks go to Jeb, NF4A for altering his route to pick up
those counties in the far Western Florida Panhandle (got those of you who
missed last falls election - Florida is actually so "wide" it is in two
different time zones!)

Looking good - point your beams at Florida next month - since it is the top
of the sunspot cycle we hope to get some increased DX participation this
year (last years DX victor LY3BA only missed 2 of the 67 counties and had
over 250 QSOs!).

See you then!

Its 31 Days 'til FQP 2,001 - be there.
