And if you really want entertainment, you should hear the
exchanges when
K5ZM comes over to my house and does sweepstakes phone,
it usually goes like this:

Ian ........ K5ZM 599 82 OREGON QSL ?

OTHER STATION........OK, K5ZM TEXAS QSL ??

Ian........ NO, THATS K5ZM OREGON..... OREGON !!! QSL ???

OTHER STATION...... OK, GOT IT NOW..... K7ZM........
OREGON...... QSL ??

MIKE......... NO....NO....NO.... K5ZM........ OREGON.....
OREGON..... QSL ??

OTHER STATION......... OK I THINK I GOT IT NOW, YOUR IN O-RE-GONE
!!
YOUR K5ZM IN O-RE-GONE ??? QSL ????

this goes on all weekend, I just sit back busting up laughing
watching Ian all weekend
going through this same ritual over and over !

Although it ain't nearly as bad as me repeating my callsign over
and over again as

Papa Japan Seven Portable Kilo Seven Zulu Uniform Mexico !

most people have a hard time with the Zulu Uniform Mexico,
and it just beats the heck out of me what other phonetics to use
to make that one easier to understand, I've tried them all.

73...... Ken........ K7ZUM.........PJ7/K7ZUM

> I thought I'd pipe up with my own callsign screwup
observations. Yeah, =
> it's not the same as mucking up a call over the phonetics
issue, but I =
> can't even begin to tell ya how many times I've had guys come
back to =
> KH7M. I've even got a few QSLs, too! And it ain't my sending.
