[CQ-Contest] MFJ Voice Keyer Computer Connector

1. Can anyone recommend an actual part number and
source for the so-called "8 pin IDC connector" on the
back of the MFJ-434 voice keyer that accepts message
actuation inputs from a computer? 

2. Is all the circuitry recommended between the
computer and the 434 really necessary? Is there a
simpler way?
