Has anyone tried transporting an Ameritron AL-1200/1500/82 amplifier in a
Pelican 1650?

The AL-1200/1500/82 dimensions are 17"w* 18.5"d*10"h. The Pelican 1650
internal dimensions without foam are 18"*29"*10.5".
The width and height fit is marginal but there is plenty of depth to provide
sufficient protection for the front and rear panel controls.

Amplifiers may not be as vulnerable as transceivers during transport,
especially after removing the transformer and tubes, but will 1/2"w and
1/4"h padding do the job?
