RE:      UPS

Hi Bob,

I recently bought a UPS for my office/shack. I bought it on eBay. It is a 110v
unit and it does 2200VA. That's enough to give time for safe, automatic
shutdown of the computers. I'm running all my 110v office, radio and
videoconferencing stuff on this unit now. It has saved me quite a few times
already - mainly the computers. I am also interested in a good solution for the
amps - 220v, but I don't have anything for you on this. All you want is a unit
that will give you surge/spike protection. It should simply shut down when
something bad happens, requiring you to manually restart everything. No need
for battery backup for the amps. The UPS I am using is the APC SU2200RM3U. See:

uage=en&LOCAL.APCCountryCode=WW

73,

Jim
