Au contraire, Mon Frere!  Many a State QSO party is run from the car. also, FD is run 
from many a mobile.. OOOPS!  I'M SO SORRY!  FD is *NOT* a contest... IT IS AN "OPERATING 
EVENING" (with scoring, rankings, bonus points, and all the other trappings of a 
contest, including a top listings box and all)

Guess that makes SS, QSO parties, WW, NAQP, etc..etc really nice 'operating events'.
