Why?  If the ARRL doesn't think there are enough contesters (and 
potential new contesters) to justify leaving relatively full contest 
reporting in QST, there shouldn't be that many who would "jump ship" 
and switch to NCJ from QST, right?  Certainly not enough to have 
advertising revenue "drop like a rock"!  If so, that's justification 
for leaving the results in QST.

No one is asking to have copies given away.  It certainly appears 
that the production of NCJ is much cheaper than QST.  If you trade 
NCJ for QST one-for-one, the bottom line goes up...unless there are 
so many people changing to NCJ from QST that the QST revenues would 
go down.  And if that's the case, the coverage shouldn't be pulled 
from QST.  Simple, huh?
