The problem with a Contst Annual is timliness.  If the reporting is done
for a whole year, the newest results will be for a contest approximately
6 months completed.  So, info on contests from 6 to 18 month prior to
publication.  I am ready to move on.   That is a historical document you
are talking about.   The reporting in a monthly magazine isn't always
news, but it is not after the contest has already been run again.
