Front cover photo of KD5KA operating QRP and motorcycle mobile with a feature
article inside. This month's focus seems to be on portable operations with
several related articles. Note that there are only 1.5 (Contest Corral) plus
1.67 (UHF Contest Results) pages devoted to contesting in this issue. Six
(6) pages were devoted to Section News. And, when was the last time we saw a
contester or his station/antennas on the front cover of QST? Oh well, here
is some of the things in the current issue...

Contest related items:
Product Review - ICOM IC-756PROII HF Transceiver
Technical Correspondence - Matching Electrically Small Antennas
Results - 2001 ARRL August UHF Contest

Other interesting items:
The Return of the Slide Rule Dial

Ads:
Pryme Radio Products has full-page ad featuring their ADI AT-201 2-Meter FM
HT at $99.
Array Solutions (WX0B) has half-page ad for the OptiBeam HF multiband beams
from Germany, and Big Boy Rotors.
AN Wireless has ad for their AN Series self supporting towers.

And more...

I vote for removing the Silent Keys from QST. That will save a half-page.

73 & High Rates,
Henry Pollock - K4TMC
