[CQ-Contest] HA-DX RULES CLARIFICATION

Dear contesters,


Unfortunately this year's HA-DX was severely disturbed by the accidental
spreading of the draft rules planned to be introduced for the next HA-DX.
There has been a long on-going work to reform HA-DX to increase popularity
and activity and to create a new rule set for HA-DX. The draft rules have
been placed to an unpublished web folder of the MRASZ Contest Committee for
internal access and this draft document has been found by web search
engines. Since this unpublished web folder is hosted on the web site of the
MRASZ and those who found it assumed it was authentic.


Please be aware that the old rules of HA-DX were valid for this years
contest.


These rules have been published in most major amateur radio magazines like
QST, CQ, CQ-DL and Electron. They are also available at:
http://www.pannondxc.hu/hadxeng.htm . We made everything possible to get the
draft versions removed from different contest calendar and contesting
websites. If you're aware of any other website still showing the draft
rules, please inform us or the website owner.

The contest committee is trying to find a fair solution for those who were
mislead by the accidental revealing of the future plans. This will be
published as soon as the exact details are known.

Please email your logs to radioclub at npp.hu . Any ASCII format is accepted,
please don't send .DOC files. The reception of your log will be confirmed
by the log checkers.

If the Contest Committee and the Chairing Committee decides to adopt the
draft version for the future HA-DX, we will inform the contesting community
via all possible media.
