It never ceases to amaze me that so many still don't know how to e-mail logs
for the various contests.
This must be learned before the issue of log format can be addressed.
If you use a logging program the log should be saved to a file on the hard
drive or a diskette. Please name the log
with your call and some context of what contest. CQ and ARRL either insist
or ask for a cabrillo log format. Ask your
software vendor for a version that produces a cabrillo log. If there is no
way then some will accept the older .sum and .log or .all format.
Its easy then to attach the files. But please attach these as outside the
e-mail! Do not send encoded formats but you can send win zipped files.
Please note in the e-mail if its zipped.
Make it easy on the contest checkers and sponsors by following procedures
and act immediately on any follow up instructions to assure your log makes
the cut. Good luck and have fun.
