Having participated in SET last year, I was ashamed to say WE need some work
fellas. It's no reflection on the organizers or the participants. It is
simply fact... Which illustrates the need for this activity. Focus on
systems, not force.

In concept, we are talking about the same thing as SET. One important
difference having nothing to do with PR. This would be structured with
contester's involved. People with skill sets honed into a precision machine
could turn SET into a 21st century National Asset! Contesters already
possess these skill sets--they need to apply them.

Norm points out another interesting bit of history... How many participated
in FD before it was a contest? When they combined the ham communities
together, the event was much more successful.

Mike-N0MY is an example of the enthusiasm:

>It's really unfair to any other sections because MN/Dakota will KICK SOME
PORK
>(HAM) RUMP (BUTT) ROAST! The challenge is on! I want to go head to head
with
>the 6-landers. In a cage, in a parking lot, with no disqualification...

I think I heard the slap of the leather glove on the cheeks of some
"6-landers." You guys up to it? A cage match. What a character!
