Back in the late 70's I visited a well known G3 Contest station.  He had the
100 watt transceiver with a small linear that could do 300 or 400 watts out.
They did have nice antennas but I asked how they did so well (against the
300 watt I's).  He said the secret was the "antenna tuner" which was mounted
in a big drawer.  The tuner had several 3-500Z's and a 4KV power supply.
