The WRTC organizers asked to have this posted on cq-contest. I think it's the first mention they'd be using OJ1-OJ8 prefixes during WRTC. -- Tom

>Dear Fellow DX'er and Contester:
>
>The World Radio Team Championships (better known as WRTC 2002) are coming ever closer and it will
>be time for fifty-two teams to travel to Finland to compete on the air to determine who is the "best of the
>best" when operating on a level playing field with equal stations and antennas from Southern Finland.
>The GAMES will provide an exciting event for DX'ers the world over as they attempt to chase the various
>WRTC teams who will be signing OJ1 - OJ8 prefixes on the bands for the first time ever. You can read
>more about this event on the official WRTC 2002 website at http://www.wrtc2002.org/
>
>Major funding for WRTC2002 has been received from amateurs around the world and this email is
>intended to present yet another opportunity for private sponsors to support the games. Special arrangements
>have been made to make available a special edition memento to commemorate the games, which shall be
>offered for sale to those amateurs attending the Dayton Hamvention, May 17-19, 2002.
>
>It is very attractive 9" glass candleholder bearing the WRTC2002 logo on a high quality silk print. Only
>thirty (30) of these beauties are being made available as "collector's item" and they have been created by
>one of the world's finest glass designers, Timo Sarpaneva of Finland. The piece reflects the language of
>modernism conveyed through the natural charm of the very finest crystal. This is the language that
>DX'ers and contesters are expected to cope with ease.
>
>You may reserve your piece in advance of Dayton and support WRTC2002 at $100 US by emailing your
>interest in one of these fine pieces to:
>Martti Laine, OH2BH, at email: OH2BH at sral.fi
>or to:
>Jeff Briggs, K1ZM, at email: K1ZM at aol.com
>
>Your fine crystal WRTC2002 memento can then be picked up in person at the Dayton Hamvention at the
>Daily DX booth (number 520) and/or the DX Publications booth (number 313) during an eyeball QSO with
>the OH gang who will be QRV for your visit.
>
>Don't miss out...! This is very limited opportunity to own a fine piece of crystal and to support the WRTC
>2002 games - all at the same time!
