It would be great for you guy's in the US to re-assess your self imposed
CW/SSB barriers... Operating split on 7028/7245 (SSB) for one QSO made me
feel uncomfortable, and while VK does not have any strict CW/SSB divisions,
operating SSB below 7030 outside contests would be a bad sport. From our
licensing persepective, both are fully legal.
Even on 80m... our little VK 6Khz SSB slot gets busy and issues or
sportsmanship arise during contests.... It was moot this year, as my
80/160m array failed prior to CQWW SSB. You would get many votes from VK
for opening up the US 80m SSB band down to 3650 or 3660.
The reverse VFO ID of a few US stations was a prompt to go split on 40m...
but mostly a little in cw "USA" was enough of a queue..
