Guys, with all due respect, this thread has worn itself out. That jerk
has caused more disruption on all the reflectors that he's worth.
Governments are governments and they do what they wish. 

Someone mentioned very precisely that sex, religion and politics have
no business in ham radio. And incidentally, that is a standing rule in
the US Navy for officers dining. More than one officer has been
ordered to leave the mess because of such a violation, and I've got a
couple to my credit also.

Please, let's drop it.
