[CQ-Contest] N1MM Logger Question

I wanted to try a logging program that I hadn't written, and with all the
bells and whistles of the N1MM program... how do you actually know what
band you are logging?   I can see where I have been logging, but I know
that trying to remember whether I pressed Ctrl-PgUp three or four time in a
contest will stuff me up.
No I don't have a modern radio with any interfaces.

My humble dBase 3 logger, based on the cabrillo data table spec still looks
damn good.
