These were the days of packet radio and DX Cluster beginings.  DL had a
clear tech advantage which is leveled now by internet.  WAE tries to promote
tough low band DX by higher mults.  Spoting helps EU stations greatly while
other beams are fixed just like ours in ARRL or Asian DX contest.

I am not using packet lately due to overcrowding but I learnt how to find DX
since 1962...
