[CQ-Contest] 1958 flare?

Hi folks,

In the mid 50's, my first rig was a Heathkit AT-1 that had  a 6AG7 for the
oscillator and a 6L6 for the final and I got 15 watts input, but I'll
attribute the measily power to old tubes and inadequate power supply. I
probably should have got 35 watts input.  I think, if he was getting 300
watts, he must have been using 6146's or some such which were popular in
those days. It sure wasn't 6AG7s...
