Hey Mark,
There's a funny thing about low numbers... You get repeat requests
on them... This year, I started SS 4 hours late, at 8pm est... So, when
I was at #1, many asked for repeats of my numbers. Why is this?
It's like "What, you're ONLY at Number 1???" Weird.
As a warning to multiops/unlimited -- please copy CW. I just lookup myself
up on packet:

Sorry to K6OQ (who, interestingly, is not in my log), but I was in EMA.
I've done SS in EMA, WMA, NH and VT... You gotta copy to find out!
BTW, my check was different this time, as I used the check of my host.
Oh, I worked a lot of locals while we had the flare -- so, was no reason to stop.
Those of us with checks of < 80 or so may have been involved in ARRL (CW) Traffic
handling (as I was), so we all understand what PREC is.... but I found PR?
worked for me. For those who were clueless "A OR B?" worked.
I appologize for my CW ... I was going a bit fast.... Typically at 35,
sometimes down to 30... QRSed whenever asked, but was not asked alot.
My mistake, I *like* fast cw.
Like you, Mark, had a fantastic time doing SO2R -- makes it a whole different
contest. A long way from my first SS, done with a GONSET G66/G67 pair (
cathode-keyed 6146), my Accukeyer and a 40m dipole at 20 feet!
