No, but if they are in your log but you discover that you are not in there's, you pull it out and avoid the penalty when cross checked.

There was a long thread on post contest log improvements a while back and this seems to me to be the mother lode of post contest log tweaking.

To me it goes back to the fact that 30 days is way too long for logs to be submitted when it seems that over 90% of major contest logs are submitted by email.
