Why not?  It only requires CQ operating awards committee to become a
card carrying member of the "LOTW society".   I suspect that if everyone
wanted to, this could be done quickly.  I really hope this is not a
multiple year negotiation to get this done.

CQ still gets to charge for its awards and doesn't have to pay as much
for or coordinate as many card checkers.

Exactly! Don't expect to get WAZ, 5BWAZ, WPX, or USA-CA using LOTW.
