[CQ-Contest] Question about CQWW rules

The key phrase in the quoted rule is "from any given location"

The question/thread was about a given operator leaving a multi-op, going
home and using his own call from home - clearly a DIFFERENT location. This
is NOT disallowed by the ARRL (though the topic was/is CQWW) rule quoted
here.

Here's the original question:

<<is it possible for an operator to operate some hours from a
multi-operator team (his callsign will be listed in summary
sheet) and also make some qso from home with his callsign
and send the log only as control log (his log)?>>

Certainly the rule DISALLOWS a visiting operator from using his own call at
a multi-op. Sorry guys, no DXing with the host's equipment! But this was
NOT the original question.

The following is from the ARRL General Contest Rules
"3.3.An operator may not use more than one call sign from any given
location during the contest period".
Perhaps CQ is different.. I could find several areas which are open for
interpretation. But I think this statement is clear from the ARRL

Actually,

I mixed up the ARRL and CQWW rules a bit, in that the CQWW rules do not
specifically restrict you from using your call from the multi-op station.

The ARRL rules are explicit about this.

Even so, in either case, you can go home and operate under your own callsign
without violating either the CQWW or ARRL rules(for ARRL contests - of
course).

The YCCC implores its members operating part-time
from a MM who goes home during the contest, to get on
the air from home and submit a log. This has had the
approval of the CQWW folks for years.
