If Rohn as we know it is liquidated, who do you think is most likely to pick
up the assets for the amateur market?

Chapter 11 is not a death sentence, as Barry points out, but some
bankruptcies are more ominous than others.  This situation with Rohn is
particularly ugly (read the news off the wires from the past few years).
Rohn attributes their woes to the downturn in the telecom industry.  No
doubt this is a big contributing factor, but Rohn was suffering even during
the boom years of the late 1990s. The bubble burst just accelerated the
inevitable. Rohn's assets will probably be liquidated by the bankruptcy
courts.

We will likely still be able to get 25G/45G/55G/etc. stuff, but I doubt it
will carry the once-venerable Rohn name.  I am one who is planning to build
another station (a big one) in the next years and I will be looking for an
alternative.  I can't count on Rohn to be my tower supplier.
