[CQ-Contest] Eu Sprint Plaque 2004

The EU Sprint Gang is proud to announce the Winners of the
2004 Eu Sprint Plaques.

This is the fourth year that this award is issued and it goes
to the three operators with the highest combined scores, having
entered at least three of the four European Sprint contests in 2004.

2004 Winners are:
#1 - Tonno Vahk, ES5TV - 942 Points
#2 - Saulius Franckevicius, LY4AA - 857 Points
#3 - Gediminas Lucinskas, LY9A/LY3BA - 810 Points

There are also certificates for the winners of each Sprint and the
leading score from each country. Prizes will be sent out by the
end of February 2005.

This is the fourth year since when we started the Eu Sprint Plaque
and we are proud to see that scores are increasing, it means that
winning the Plaque for the highest combined score is getting more
difficult every year. This year the first place goes to Tonno, ES5TV,
who won the 2 SSB events and, finally, improved his CW ending
#10 and #7 in the CW Sprints. He is ahead of the second by
almost 100 points. Seconds place goes to Sam, LY4AA, with #9,
#5, #3 and #3. One year ago he could have won with such a
score. Third place goes to Ged, LY3BA operating as LY9A, who won
one year ago. This year he ended twice #5 and twice #9 and he
finished just 5 points below the score of the winner of 2003.
