[CQ-Contest] Lost leading 'dit'

More so than in the past, I seemed to hear a lot of missing leading dits this
weekend, i.e. AD1C came out as TD1C.

* Was my break-in delay set too slow?
* Are more stations forgetting to key their amplifier PTT before sending CW?
* Or was I just imaginging it?

CT supports keying the amplifier one baud before actually sending CW. Are
people using this feature? Do other programs like Writelog, NA and/or TR do
this also?

I like QSK but find it too distracting during a contest.
