[CQ-Contest] re IARU HQ stations - final results question cont.

Hi IARU HQ freaks,

this IUxHQ point increase is really interesting.

Look at IUxHQ's claimed number of Mults = 443 and the number of Mults in the final score is 669 !

This is the highest ever number of Mults in the HQ section !

If you look at the austrian team on 14th positon you will notice that they also got a really high number of Mults (576).
Looking at the past years 2001 and 2002 you will again find that the Austrian HQ station always has the highest number of MULTS....They appear as OE1XHQ in the results

Now what has happened here ? 
The austrians have to use different Callsigns for their HQ stations - I remember that they had different callsigns also in 2002 - although their call is not written as OExXHQ in the 2002 results.

This year the italians did the same and used different calls. And suddenly they have >200 multipliers more than the top competitors from Russia, Germany and UK...

Well, I assume that there is some kind of error in the Mult calculation Software for stations that use different Calls for their HQ stations....

Or maybe in Italy and Austria there are generally about 200 more Mults available during IARU Contest ;-)

Anyone to clarify this ?
