I've been using N6TR lately on notebook with a single COM port for CW keying
and PTT.
It promptly displays frequency on the PC screen for my old IC-735 and new
FT-1000MP.
This frequency can be easily logged on disk.  I am sure N6TR would do that
improvement.

My own contest program was logging IC-735 and FT-1000D freq at 100 Hz since
1984.
