[CQ-Contest] saving us from ourselves

Knowing your radio is great, and essential. However it's clear (both from experience and listening on the bands) that after 24-30 hours straight (2nd night) remembering to set splits and not transmit out of band on 40 or 80 gets tough. Why not use our technology to our advantage and not only save the time we waste yelling on an EU stations calling frequency but also save violating our licenses?

Why not have the computer power up the station, you close the door, leave the house for the weekend, and 48 hrs later look and see how your computer/software did in the contest? I think we'd be better off knowing the rigs we're using.. The hobby is getting a little "too software" dependent! IMHO
