Folks,

I recently met with the President of our local electric co-op, Harrison
REMC, to discuss a number of issues, BPL among them. I wanted to share my
concern as the utility had been "teasing" the fact that they were going to
deploy BPL or a similar system during the next 18-24 months. I am relieved
to tell you that Harrison REMC has backed away from BPL. Mr. Beckort (the
CEO) and operations manager Kevin Burch told me the initial capital
investment in "all the repeaters" and "potential technical problems" with
BPL halted the planned deployment here in southern Indiana.
