Careful.  Next thing you know, someone will propose a rule DQing you if
you acquired an xyl within a certain amount of time before the contest.
~ Next after that is a rule prohibiting trying to acquire an xyl before
the contest - no dating the month before the contest (at which point, we
lose a lot of the younger contesters)!  Followed by the 'No treating the
xyl especially nice in order to convince her to feed you during the
contest' rule.
