[CQ-Contest] NCCC CW Thursday Sprint (NS)

With two weeks to go, there's opportunity to join in the snappy
Thursday evening NCCC CW Sprint, NS. Last week set another record
for number of participating stations.  N6RO and K4BAI are
probable winners in the East of Ms. River and NCCC divisions,
the WM division is still a close race between N1LN
(@K5PTC) and N3BB. But even in the EM division, N4OGW is a close
second to John, considering that just the top 8 scores will be
counted. (Results below for top stations in each div.)

Thanks to generally terrible conditions last week, N6RO and K6XX
failed to reach the 66 QSO's mandated by the Locust, K6VVA to
claim his special NS prize.  So if for no other reason, get on
this Thursday evening and help these guys.  The maximum rates of
almost 120/hr so far reported exceed those of the NA Sprint,
albeit for a much shorter time.

With about 70 stations participating in NS, the contest is
almost sure to be back next year. So we hope some more of you
will participate this and next week, and then let us know how
we should be doing it next year.  Remember to report scores to

convenient form. It's our only record of scores and participation.

There were a surprising number of new stations last week, some at
slower CW speed. Thank-you to those who kindly slowed down a little
for these several ops.  Remember to just get on and experience summer
radio contesting fun.
